Daniela Gameiro Leitão was born August 5, 1969 in Coimbra.
In 1992 she began her professional career on TV channel SIC.
The following year, she began her career as video editor at Duvideo Productions. During her video editing career, she has worked in many different styles. In the entertainment sector, some highlights are : Música Maestro; Fá-las Curtas; Família, Família; Verão Total; Fábrica das Anedotas; A Verdade Compensa; Ai os Homens; Infantaria, Furor and sitcoms such as: Pensão Estrela; Camilo e Filho; As Aventuras do Camilo; Malucos do Riso. Magazines: 2001; 2010; Da Terra ao Mar; Latitudes; O Melhor de Nós; Pontos de Fuga. Series: Alves dos Reis e Médico de Família.
She was responsible for the production of four promotional films about the Islands of Cape Verde for the channel RTP Africa. She has edited educational and promotional videos for various companies (EDP – Electricity of Portugal , L’ Oreal , Bayer ) and worked on advertisements. In August 2012 she directed the documentary ‘Mulheres de Deus’ (Women of God), which took place in one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in Lisbon. In February 2013 she directed the first documentary recorded in Portugal via smartphone – The life of Rafi”.
