I have worked as a freelance journalist for 18 years. Over the last twelve years, I have collaborated with Third Sector entities, first as a volunteer and then as a communication specialist.
I’ve graduated in Social Communication and I have a post graduation in Political Science and International Relations (Faculdade de Ciências Socias e Humanas – Universidade de Lisboa).
As a journalist I’ve collaborated with several magazines, especially regarding economical themes. In the Third Sector area, I began as a volunteer in International Amnesty, and then I was the Communication Coordinator for Doctors of the World in Portugal, between 2003 and 2008. That year I started a new project: Stone Soup Consulting, a consultancy company focused on Third Sector. I was a founding partner of Stone Soup and left my partnership status in 2012 to become a consultant. With Stone Soup, I worked in projects regarding communication plans and evaluation of communication instruments for different clients.
Since 2011 I have also acted as a project analyst in the organisation Bolsa de Valores Sociais, in Lisbon. For me, to collaborate with IM Magazine is a new way of making journalism, a work that I do appreciate, focused on a new universe: Third Sector, and with a new point of view: to tell stories about positive and inspiring realities.
