Luís Miguel Neto
Luis Miguel Neto is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social and Political Sciences , University of Lisbon . Has coordinated the Family and Individual Support Services ( SAFI ), an open service to the community of the Psychology College of Lisbon , between 1993 and 2005, a free clinic therapy.
Luis has received the degree of Doctor of Education, with the specialization in Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts in the United States in 1995 . Has a postgraduate degree in Systemic Family Therapy from the University of Seville in Spain. Was External Examiner at the University of Luton in England for three years . Has been a regular academic professor , teaching Masters and Postgraduate courses in institutions of higher education as the Universidade Aberta, the University of Minho, Universidade Católica, North West University of South Africa and the University of Valladolid.
Author of numerous scientific articles and books disclosure is credited trainer and has worked with psychologists , parents, teachers , health professionals, stakeholders in the field of social work , employers and entrepreneurs . Have been given training and speaker in numerous countries such as the United States , Brazil , Belgium , Denmark , Croatia, Spain , Germany , England , Hungary , Argentina and South Africa.
He is a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Scientific Studies Committee Interventions and Positive Psychology ( APEIPP ) and member of the Board of Directors of the International Positive Psychology assotiation .
Luis together with his colleague Helena Marujo Agueda, are pioneer in Portugal into the introduction of methodologies such as Appreciative Inquiry , Solution Focus Approach, Developing Sense of Humour or Cafe World , which have adapted creatively to the community , education, corporate, health and psychotherapy portuguese context.
