Jack Heath is widely-known and respected for his two decades’ worth of work in suicide prevention, and the promotion of mental health awareness in young people.
In 2012, Jack seized with both hands the opportunity to become the CEO of SANE Australia. Fifteen years earlier, following the suicide of his 20-year-old cousin, he had founded the Inspire Foundation, with the idea of using the internet to prevent youth suicide – and from where he runs ‘ReachOut.com’, a youth mental health service. More recently, Heath has established the Inspire Foundation in Ireland and in the United States, of which he acted as CEO from 2010-11.
Jack also has extensive governmental experience, having worked as a senior adviser and speechwriter for Federal Ministers. He has received a number of awards in recognition of his work, including the Centenary Medal, for his contributions to Australian society.
