KUDIRAT: WOMEN THAT ARE CHANGING AFRICA
Costello’s projects are shaping communities.
The project’s name has a double meaning: it was named after Hafsat Abiola Costello’s mother and also comes from the Arabic word kudra, which means power. And this is what the project is all about- empowering women and giving them the ability to use their voice and change their communities. Costello reveals the real essence of her work through Pamela’s story.
Hafsat Abiola-Costello is the Executive Director of the Kudirat Initiative for Democracy, KIND, an NGO that seeks to empower democracy and development in Nigeria through the strengthening of organizations and the creation of initiatives that advance women’s position.
